Duties
President Emeritus’ Duties:
- Provide guidance and direction to the Research Committee.
Board Member Emeritus’ Duties:
- Provide guidance and direction to the Research Committee.
President’s/Chair’s Duties:
- Serve as the central contact person with the International Political Science Association (IPSA) headquarters and to lead the Board in making programmatic and Conference decisions.
- Endeavor to be present at all the meetings, including the triennial World Congresses and the mid-term Round Table meetings. Attendance is not required, but the President must make an earnest attempt to attend.
- Make scholarly contributions to the mission of the Research Committee.
- Continue to be a dues-paying member to IPSA.
Vice Presidents’ Duties:
- Assist the President with her duties, as necessary. The President's duties are to be the central contact person with the IPSA headquarters and to lead the Board in making programmatic and Conference decisions.
- Endeavor to be present at all the meetings, including the triennial World Congresses and the mid-term Round Table meetings. Attendance is not required, but the Vice Presidents must make an earnest attempt to attend.
- Help organize the Round Table meetings: assist in deciding where the meetings will be held and assist in deciding the themes of the meetings.
- Make scholarly contributions to the mission of the Research Committee.
- Continue to be a dues-paying member to IPSA.
Secretary’s Duties:
- Communicate, as necessary, with the RC 4 Board and IPSA.
- Endeavor to be present at all the meetings, including the triennial World Congresses and the mid-term Round Table meetings. Attendance is not required, but Secretary must make an earnest attempt to attend.
- Make scholarly contributions to the mission of the Research Committee.
- Continue to be a dues-paying member to IPSA.
Board Members’ Duties:
- Endeavor to be present at all the meetings, including the triennial World Congresses and the mid-term Round Table meetings. Attendance is not required, but Board Members must make an earnest attempt to attend.
- Be available to assist in the selection of abstracts and papers to be presented at the World Congresses and Round Table meetings. The President will choose two or three of the Board Members to assist in this task.
- Assist in organizing the Round Table meetings: assist in deciding where the meetings will be held and assist in deciding the themes of the meetings.
- Make scholarly contributions to the mission of the Research Committee.
- Continue to be a dues-paying member to IPSA.
